Huayou Cobalt has commissioned the hydrometallurgical nickel smelting project using laterite nickel ore at its PT.HUAYUE NICKEL COBALT recently after completing the equipment installation and debugging work.

SHANGHAI, Dec 2 (SMM) – Huayou Cobalt has commissioned the hydrometallurgical nickel smelting project using laterite nickel ore at its PT.HUAYUE NICKEL COBALT recently after completing the equipment installation and debugging work.

The project will produce 60,000 mt of nickel and 7,800 mt of cobalt with metal content per year. The first batch of products has been yielded.

According to the company's inspection, the main performance indicators of the products are qualified.
