The global shortage of automotive chips is easing, with inventories of major automotive chip suppliers on the market increasing for the first time in nearly nine months. Total inventories at Renesas, NXP, Infineon, St and Texas Instruments rose 0.7% year-on-year at the end of September, the first year-on-year increase in nearly three quarters. Of the five companies, four showed year-on-year increases in inventories.
