The winning candidates have been announced for the centralized bidding project of lithium iron phosphate battery for power backup in 2021, according to the official news of China Railway Tower on November 22.
There are a total of 8 winning candidates for this project, the first winning candidate is Zhongtian Technology, and the second to eighth winning candidates are Shuangdeng Group, Nandu Power supply, Topang shares, Linkage Tianyi, Lilang Battery, Zhitai New Energy and Haishida.
The battery supply enterprise of the communication energy storage head has appeared.
At the beginning of this year, China Telecom and China Tower standby Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery products joint centralized bidding project to purchase battery 2.09GWh. five companies, namely Tianyi, Nandu Power, Zhongtian Science and Technology, Shuangdeng Group and Yipeng Energy, won the bid; in July, China Mobile bid for 2.95GWhh lithium iron phosphate battery, and 10 enterprises, including Shuangdeng Group, Nandu Power supply, Penghui Energy, Linkage Tianyi and Zhongtian Science and Technology, won the bid.
From the perspective of bid-winning enterprises, Shuangdeng Group, Nandu Power supply, Zhongtian Technology and other enterprises appear frequently, and they have obvious competitive advantages in the communication energy storage market, and have grown into the leading enterprises in this field.
Shuangdeng Group has full scene energy storage solutions, focusing on new energy generation system, Electroweb friendly energy storage system, data center "power backup + energy storage" system, microgrid and intelligent energy efficiency management technology development and application. In 2020, the company won 40% of the bidding project share of lithium iron phosphate in China Tower and 14.5% share of China Mobile.
Nandu Power supply ranks among the top three in the domestic communication backup battery market, and the company's "smart energy storage" business has spread to 31 countries around the world. Its suppliers include national Electroweb, Southern Electroweb, the three major operators, EDF EDF and other international enterprises. After communication, the company has accumulated global sales of lithium iron phosphate battery over 2GWh.
Zhongtian Technology established a wholly-owned subsidiary Zhongtian Energy Storage, focusing on the field of information and communication backup batteries, which has made substantial breakthroughs in the development of this business in recent years. In 2020, the company won the bid share of 18.85% of China Mobile's lithium iron phosphate battery procurement. According to the first place, it won the bid for China Telecom, China Tower and China Mobile's lithium iron phosphate battery procurement project in 2021, which has obvious advantages in the field of communication energy storage.
5G base station construction as the main force of China's seven "new infrastructure", including China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, Radio and Television, China Tower, Huawei and other operators are in this field.
According to the analysis, according to the previous 4G promotion and application cycle, it is speculated that the peak period of 5G base station construction will be from 2021 to 2023, and the demand of lithium iron phosphate battery for 5G base station in 2021 is expected to reach 10GWh.
Looking to the future, according to the relevant data, at least 14.38 million base stations in China still need to be built or renovated. Based on the energy consumption of 2700W per station and emergency 4h, the 5G base station energy storage market will provide 155GWh lithium iron phosphate battery demand space in the future.
The corresponding market size of 155GWh is more than 100 billion yuan.
The broad market demand stimulates the supply side, and battery companies are eyeing this market covetously. In addition to the above-mentioned winning companies, including BYD, Ningde Times, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Ripu Energy, Xin Wanda, Penghui Energy, Ha Guangyu, Jiabeth and other enterprises are continuously developing energy storage battery suppliers.
The number of successful candidates increased to 8.
According to the previous announcement of the China Tower, the project includes 12 types of lithium iron phosphate batteries with an estimated value of 2.0GWh. The number of winning bidders is 5, and the shares are 28%, 22%, 19%, 17% and 14%, respectively.
