[Hyundai electric vehicle sales hit a record 60 per cent year-on-year in October] according to foreign media reports, Hyundai's global sales fell 21 per cent year-on-year to 307039 vehicles in October, affected by a shortage of semiconductors and an epidemic. But electric vehicle sales have continued to grow, setting a new monthly sales record. The company sold 18694 electric vehicles worldwide in October, up 60 per cent from a year earlier and accounting for more than 5.9 per cent of total sales.

According to foreign media reports, in October, due to the shortage of semiconductors and the epidemic, Hyundai's global sales fell 21% year-on-year to 307039 vehicles. But electric vehicle sales have continued to grow, setting a new monthly sales record. The company sold 18694 electric vehicles worldwide in October, up 60 per cent from a year earlier and accounting for more than 5.9 per cent of total sales.

Sales of pure electric vehicles have set a new record, while sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles are close to previous records. Sales of Hyundai pure electric vehicles in October were 14243, up 34 per cent from a year earlier; plug-in hybrid sales were 4451, up 310 per cent from a year earlier; and fuel cell vehicle sales were 1010, up 50 per cent from a year earlier.

In the first 10 months of this year, Hyundai sold more than 129000 electric vehicles worldwide, up 38 per cent from a year earlier and accounting for 4.0 per cent of total sales. Of this total, sales of pure electric vehicles were 94942, up 12 per cent from a year earlier; plug-in hybrid vehicles were 34345, up 282 per cent from a year earlier; and fuel cell vehicles were 8286, up 39 per cent from a year earlier.

In China, Hyundai sold 396 electric vehicles in October, compared with 2536 this year, compared with 18 in India and 111 this year.

Hyundai's top-selling electric model in October was the IONIQ 5, with a total of 8750 sold. At present, Hyundai IONIQ 5's monthly production is close to 9000 vehicles, and this year's cumulative sales have been close to 50, 000 vehicles.

Hyundai Kona Electric:4621 (a total of 37383)

Hyundai Tucson PHEV:2576 (a total of 20116)

Hyundai IONIQ Electric:594 (a total of 8366)

Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV:1118 (a total of 7567)

Hyundai IONIQ Plug-In:630 (a total of 5941)
