The 4680 battery sector strengthened sharply this morning. By noon, China's Baoan and Ningbo Jingda had risen by the daily limit, while Yiwei LiNeng and Tiannai Technology had risen by more than 10%, followed by the rise in science and technology. In addition, on November 5, Jingmen Power Energy Storage Battery Industrial Park officially started, with a total investment of 46.3 billion yuan, covering the whole lithium battery industry chain, bringing together many lithium industry leaders, such as Yiwei Power, Green Mei, Kodali, New Zebang and so on. At the site of the construction activity, Liu Jincheng, chairman of Yiwei Lithium Energy, made it clear that "(this) power industrial park …". It is likely to be the production base of the first mass-produced 4680 and 4695 batteries in the world, and the batteries produced here will be equipped to the world (leader).

Also on the 5th, Yiwei LiNeng announced that its subsidiary Yiwei Power plans to build a large cylindrical battery production line and auxiliary facilities for 20GWh passenger cars in Jingmen High-tech Zone-and 4680 batteries belong to large cylindrical batteries. The above mass production plan is much faster than the company's previous news, which is expected to reach production by 2023 and reach 40GWH by 2024.

At the end of August, there were also media reports that Tesla had begun to look for 4680 battery cooperation manufacturers in China, including Yiwei Lithium Energy. However, Yiwei LiNeng announced on Aug. 30 that as of the date of disclosure of the announcement, the company had not discussed cooperation with Tesla on the 4680 battery.

Battery factory competes for 4680 industry chain to benefit from many aspects.

The so-called 4680 battery is a new type of battery released by Tesla on Battery Day last year, with a five-fold increase in capacity, a 16% increase in mileage and a 14% reduction in cost per kilowatt-hour.

Tesla also accelerated the mass production of 4680 batteries recently. According to the latest news, Tesla will build a new lithium equipment factory in Canada, which aims to promote the mass production of 4680 batteries. Tesla has previously revealed that the first batch of cars with 4680 batteries are expected to be delivered early next year, and the production capacity is expected to reach 100GWh by the end of next year.

Panasonic also said last Thursday that it is technically ready for mass production of 4680 batteries, while Ningde Times, LG Chemical and Samsung SDI are also promoting R & D and production.

In other words, if Yiwei Lithium can plan to get a head start, it will need to mass-produce 4680 batteries by next year's Q1.

With the acceleration of 4680 mass production process, Tesla and other car companies are expected to carry 4680 battery large cylindrical batteries in the future, multi-links of the industrial chain will usher in incremental logic.

The enrollment securities report previously pointed out that 4680 batteries are expected to accelerate the development of ternary high-nickel batteries, the proportion of silicon-containing anode materials will also be increased, and corresponding progress and changes will occur in its shell manufacturing process, electrode ear welding and other links.

Sun Xiaoya, an analyst at Tianfeng Securities, believes that 4680 batteries will bring the improvement of all-material system ASP, in which incremental logic is silicon-based negative electrode, carbon nanotube, LiFSI.

Kodali has laid out 4680 battery structures. In addition, it can be seen from Yiwei LiNeng's statement on the 5th that Kodali will supply structural components for it.

Fangyuan shares and Zhongwei shares are mainly engaged in cathode material precursors, both of which have entered the Tesla supply chain.

The high-speed laser machine of Neptune is mainly used for cutting the polar ear of lithium battery.

Hangke Science and Technology report shows that the company's 4680 prototype has been completed and delivered to customers.

China Baoan, Tiannai Technology and Divine Materials have laid out 4680 battery materials one after another.
