It is exposed that Apple iPhone 14 will launch TSMC 4nm process.

According to the latest report from DigiTimes, the chips on the next-generation iPhone will be based on the "4nm" process, which is more advanced than the 5nm process used in iPhone 13.

The report said Apple and its chipmaker partner TSMC were seeking to adopt the 4nm process for the A16 bionic chip, which could be the name of the chip for the next-generation iPhone, but TSMC called the process "N4P" and described it as "the third major improvement in TSMC's 5nm series".

TSMC and Apple face technical challenges in producing 3nm chips, which may be the reason why iPhone 14 will adopt the 4nm process, according to a report by The Information yesterday.

Another earlier report shows that Apple has booked the full production capacity of TSMC's future 3nm process, and it is expected that iPhone 15 and the new Mac will be the first to carry chips using this process.
