Geely Automobile's first "Intelligent cockpit Chip" is about to get attention again in mass production of automotive electronics industry.

Published: Nov 1, 2021 09:22

Recently, Geely announced that Geely's first 7nm SOC "intelligent cockpit chip" chip is about to be mass produced; in 2023, it will launch the first 7nm, high-computing self-driving chip; in 2025, it will launch a 5nm self-driving chip, and fully master L5 self-driving technology to achieve L4 self-driving commercial applications. In addition, Geely plans to complete the network of 72 IoT communication satellites and 168 navigation-enhanced low-orbit constellations in 2026 to achieve "global blind zone" communications and centimeter-level high-precision positioning coverage.

According to the foresight Research Institute, self-driving cars will become the mainstream of new car sales in 2035, and self-driving will have a far-reaching impact on the way people travel. China will become the world's largest market for self-driving cars. By 2030, annual sales of new L4 driverless cars in China will exceed 500000, accounting for nearly 30 per cent of global annual sales.

According to the theme database of the Financial Associated Press, among the relevant listed companies:

The car engine products of Huayang Group integrating Huawei HiCar have been landed; the automatic parking (APA) based on Huawei Hayes chip has been awarded the designated project, and some of the products of Jinkang Selis intelligent cockpit have been awarded the designated project.

The IPU03, the world's first autopilot domain controller based on the Nvidia Xavier, has been mass produced on the Xiaopeng P7 model.

Rare Earth Prices Surge: Neodymium Praseodymium Oxide and Gadolinium Iron See Increased Transactions
[SMM Rare Earth Price Flash] As of now, driven by the rise in futures prices, neodymium praseodymium oxide has seen small-volume transactions by some traders at 730,000-740,000 yuan/mt. Driven by rising raw material prices, coupled with tender procurement of Pr-Nd alloy by major magnetic material plants, metal quotations were also raised to 900,000 yuan/mt, with actual transactions following up. The latest market quotation for gadolinium oxide was 230,000 yuan/mt, and quotations for gadolinium iron were also raised to 215,000-220,000 yuan/mt, driven by downstream tender procurement.
