[Nobelis invested US $375 million in Zhenjiang to increase automobile aluminum sheet production capacity in China] Norbelis signed an agreement with Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province on October 28th to invest US $375 million in the expansion of aluminum Calendering and recovery capacity of its Zhenjiang plant. And will establish a closed-circuit aluminum recycling system in China to enable sustainable development of transportation.

Norris signed an agreement with Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province on October 28th to invest US $375 million in the expansion of aluminum Calendering and recovery capacity of its Zhenjiang plant, and will establish a closed-circuit recycling system for automotive aluminum in China to enable sustainable transportation development.

Norris, a large automotive aluminum sheet supplier with more than 40 years of manufacturing experience in automotive lightweight applications, has increased its global automotive production capacity by 250 per cent in the past three years and sixfold in China and North America. In order to meet the support of automotive customers in China and the global market for circular economy solutions, at the beginning of this year, Norbelis signed a memorandum of cooperation with Jingkou Economic Development Zone, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province on the expansion project. the formal signing of this agreement marks the strengthening of the Norbelis Zhenjiang plant with the ability to serve the Asian automotive market with lightweight and sustainable aluminum products. The agreement includes an investment of US $375 million to expand the hot rolling production line, add new cold mills and establish a closed circuit recycling system for automotive aluminum in China. The project is expected to break ground early next year, and when completed in 2024, it will create an integrated solution from coil production, heat treatment and closed cycle for Norbelis Chinese automotive customers. In addition to automotive aluminum products, Norbelis Zhenjiang plant will also continue to supply customers in aerospace and other industries.
