Ministry of Commerce: country Guide to China's Export of used cars (2021) officially released

On the morning of October 26th, the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., and the used car Export Professional Committee of the all-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Chamber of Commerce jointly held the "China used car Export country Guide (2021)" online press conference, officially launched the "China second-hand car Export country Guide (2021)".

The Guide summarizes the current development of China's second-hand car export business from the dimensions of domestic policies, markets, enterprises, products, and processes. It focuses on the analysis of the global second-hand car export market and the development and management experience of second-hand car exports in Japan, South Korea and other developed countries. 23 countries with good market conditions and great export potential are selected for in-depth study. Cover market, policy, regulations, taxation, process and other related information.

The country Guide to China's Export of used cars (2021) has been officially released.

On the morning of October 26th, the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, the China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., and the used car Export Professional Committee of the all-China Federation of Industry and Commerce jointly held the "China used car Export country Guide (2021)" online press conference. About 300 people from provincial and municipal commerce departments responsible for second-hand car export business and representatives of second-hand car export enterprises attended the meeting.

Promoting the export of used cars is not only an innovative business to stabilize foreign trade, but also an important way to promote the upgrading of domestic automobile consumption, which plays an important and positive role in accelerating the domestic and international circulation of the automobile industry and promoting the high-quality development of foreign trade. Since 2019, the Ministry of Commerce, together with relevant departments, has supported 30 regions to carry out used car export business in two batches, continuously optimizing supervision and service models, and accelerating the release of used car export potential. With the joint efforts of all parties, the export of used cars has achieved preliminary results and has a good momentum of development. As of September 2021, China has exported 14000 second-hand cars, with a value of more than 100 million US dollars, which has been sold to 102 countries and regions all over the world.

In order to help second-hand car export enterprises to open up overseas markets, the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce commissioned China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., all-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile Dealers Chamber of Commerce used car Export Professional Committee to compile the "China used car Export country Guide (2021)". The Guide summarizes the current development of China's second-hand car export business from the dimensions of domestic policies, markets, enterprises, products, and processes. It focuses on the analysis of the global second-hand car export market and the development and management experience of second-hand car exports in Japan, South Korea and other developed countries. 23 countries with good market conditions and great export potential are selected for in-depth study. Cover market, policy, regulations, taxation, process and other related information. In addition, the Guide also compiles 69 policy documents related to the export of used cars issued by domestic government departments at all levels, and enumerates a large number of cases and data, which provides an important reference for government departments and enterprises at all levels. The Guide will help second-hand car export enterprises to grasp more overseas market information in time, seize opportunities, select target markets and products, and do a good job in overseas marketing and after-sales service. It plays a positive role in enhancing the international competitiveness of China's used cars and promoting the healthy and sustainable development of used car exports.

The person in charge of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce pointed out that China's second-hand car export faces many favorable conditions and has great potential for development in the future. At present, the export of used cars is in the early stage of exploration. in order to promote the healthy and orderly development of the export of used cars, the Ministry of Commerce, together with relevant departments, will focus on three tasks: first, to establish standards, formulate and issue industry standards for the export of used cars, and put an end to the export of unqualified second-hand cars. We will study and formulate a unified national enterprise access standard and establish a dynamic assessment and exit mechanism. The second is to formulate policies, summarize and promote the good experiences and practices of used car export places, and introduce relevant promotion policies. The third is to build an image, continue to compile and issue the "country Guide to China's used car Export", support enterprises to build an overseas after-sales service system, and guide used car industry organizations to strengthen industry self-discipline.
