Indonesia Tops the List of Global Nickel Ore Reserves

As of 2020, the global reserves of lithium ore (lithium carbonate) stood at 128 million mt and the resources at 349 million mt, which is mainly distributed in Chile, Australia, Argentina and Bolivia.

SHANGHAI, Oct 25 (SMM) – As of 2020, the global reserves of lithium ore (lithium carbonate) stood at 128 million mt and the resources at 349 million mt, which is mainly distributed in Chile, Australia, Argentina and Bolivia.

The reserves of cobalt ore stood at 6.68 million mt and the resources at 23.44 million mt. The reserves in Congo (DRC), Indonesia and Australia are the most abundant.

The reserves of nickel ore stood at 90.63 million mt and the resources at 260 million mt. Indonesia ranks first in the global nickel ore reserves, and the resources in countries like Australia and Russia are rich.
