






Recently, Wang Xinfeng, mayor of Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province, Hu Zuotao, member of the standing Committee of the Municipal CPC Committee, and his party visited Chongqing University and discussed related cooperation issues. Pan Fusheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, president of the Chongqing Science and Technology Association, and honorary director of the National magnesium Center, received the visitors. Wang Xinfeng introduced the current situation of Lanxi's manufacturing industry, pointing out that at present, Lanxi's manufacturing industry is mainly concentrated in textile, daily chemical, cement, metal Calendering and other industries, with a great "carbon reduction pressure." the layout of lightweight industries and energy transformation industries is imperative. Zhejiang Province and Lanxi Municipal Government attach great importance to the development of lightweight industry, and magnesium and magnesium alloys have brought very good solutions. We hope to actively cooperate in the fields of magnesium alloy structural materials and biomaterials, and intervene in advance in magnesium hydrogen storage and magnesium batteries to jointly promote the establishment of a high-end R & D platform in Lanxi Jinlan Innovation City, so as to inject new vitality into the transformation of Lanxi traditional industries and the development of high-tech industries.
Pan Fusheng first thanked the Lanxi municipal party committee and municipal government for attaching importance to the cooperation between Lanxi and the National magnesium Center of Chongqing University. Pan Fusheng believes that lightweight and green is the national strategy, lightweight equipment and the rapid development and large-scale application of light metal materials have become the development trend of the world manufacturing industry. At the same time, from the aspects of the resource properties, safety properties, environmental burden of the current energy storage methods, as well as the large-scale demand of industry, automobile and electronic products in the future, the new generation of magnesium batteries and magnesium hydrogen storage materials with high safety, low cost and environment-friendly have strong development potential. On the other hand, with the rapid improvement of people's living standards, the demand for biomedical materials is increasing day by day, and biodegradable magnesium alloy materials are also one of the main development directions of the new generation of medical device materials. Pan Fusheng said that all-round cooperation between Chongqing University and Lanxi can be promoted in technical services, platform construction, achievements transformation and personnel training.
The two sides also conducted in-depth discussions on the direction and mode of cooperation and determined the preliminary plan for the two sides to jointly build a high-end R & D platform for mg-based materials.
