On the afternoon of October 15, the National rare Earth functional Materials Innovation Center held an expert discussion meeting on the 14th five-year Plan in the conference room of the office building of Baotou rare Earth Research Institute. Wu Suhai, deputy director of the Industry and Information Technology Department of the Autonomous region, Peng Wuhua, Director of the Science and Technology Electronics Department of the Industry and Information Department of the Autonomous region, Yang Wenhao, Secretary General of China rare Earth Industry Association, Wang Xiaotie, Deputy Secretary General of China rare Earth Industry Association, Zhang Anwen, Deputy Secretary General of China rare Earth Society, relevant leaders of Inner Mongolia Autonomous region rare Earth Industry Association, leaders of Baotou rare Earth Research Institute, leaders of Northern rare Earth Group and relevant leaders of Baotou City Industry and Information Bureau, Members of the leading class of the National rare Earth functional Materials Innovation Center jointly attended the meeting.

The meeting was conducted in the form of online and offline Synchronize discussions. Xu Tao, secretary general of the rare Earth Industry Association of Inner Mongolia Autonomous region, first introduced the preparation of the "plan. Liu Wei, general manager of the National rare Earth functional Materials Innovation Center, made a detailed introduction to the leaders and experts attending the meeting on the specific contents of the" plan. "after listening to the contents of the" plan, "the leaders and members of the expert group carefully studied and analyzed. The specific content is asked and revised opinions and suggestions are put forward. It is proposed that from the point of view of the overall situation, we should judge the hour and size up the situation and strengthen the management and application of funds, further refine the contents of the pilot line construction according to time nodes, break through common and key technologies in the key areas of rare earth functional materials, and clarify and refine safeguard measures. highlight the function and role of the national innovation center for rare earth functional materials, integrate superior resources, actively serve and incubate rare earth enterprises, and form independent intellectual property rights. Strengthen international technical exchanges and cooperation, and promote the high-quality development of China's rare earth industry through the combination of politics, industry, learning, research and application.

In the end, the expert group discussed the evaluation opinions of the Plan and formed a written review conclusion. The National rare Earth functional Materials Innovation Center will further revise and improve the contents of the Plan according to expert opinions, and form a final draft to be submitted to the State Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
