Aluminium Social Inventories Rose 25,000 mt on Week

According to the data released by the London Metal Exchange (LME), LME aluminium's inventory dropped again after a surge of 119,000 mt to 880,975 mt on February 10.

SHANGHAI, Mar 29 (SMM) - Due to the low inventory in domestic and overseas markets and the recovery of downstream demand, the profits of aluminium smelters are currently at a historically high level of 5,000 yuan/mt, or even close to 7,000 yuan/mt at some smelters in Xinjiang.

SMM data showed that China's social inventories of aluminium across eight consumption areas dropped 65,000 mt on the week to 799,000 mt as of December 30.

SMM data showed that China's social inventories of aluminium across eight consumption areas dropped 46,000 mt on the week to 864,000 mt as of December 23, mainly contributed by Wuxi and Nanhai.
