NDRC: To Increase the Coal Imports as Appropriate

SHANGHAI, Sep 30 (SMM) - The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said it will work with relevant parties to secure the supply of coal by all means.

1) To guide the leading coal producing hubs and key enterprises to form scientific production plans and create state-of-the-art production capacity.

2) To further increase high quality production capacities, and support the operation of advanced production capacity from high-quality coal mines that are eligible.

3) To increase coal imports as appropriate, and support enterprises to make good use of international resources to effectively supplement domestic supply.

4) To enhance coal storage, and support local governments and enterprises to strengthen the construction of coal reserve capacity with a certain scale of emergency reserve resources. The coal storage in power plants will be the focus.

5) To focus on securing coal for power and heat generation, and strengthen the supervision to ensure the stable supply and prices of coal for the benefit of people's livelihood.

6) To regulate the order of market operation, strengthen market supervision in conjunction with relevant departments, rigorously investigate and deal with price speculations and other irregularities.
