SHANGHAI, Sep 28 (SMM) - SMM understands that the daily output of many manganese plants in Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi has fallen to 30-50% due to the implementation of power rationing policy in many regions.

The shortage of spot supply has not emerged currently as an increasing number of mainstream steel mills cut or suspended production against power rationing. The release of manganese demand before the National Day holiday has decreased.

Many market participants believe that the transactions will weaken amid lower supply and demand. But the strong enthusiasm on order placement by end-users will support manganese prices to strengthen.
