SHANGHAI, Sep 22 (SMM) - President Xi Jinping attended the General Debate of the 76^th UN General Assembly in Beijing by video and delivered an important speech entitled "Strengthen Confidence and Overcome Difficulties to Build a Better World” on September 21.

President Xi stated that relevant authorities should improve global environmental governance to build a community of human and natural life; accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation to achieve green recovery and development; China will strive to achieve a carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060; China will vigorously support the development of green and low-carbon energy in the developing countries and no longer build new overseas coal power projects.
