Invest 22 billion! Honeycomb Energy 60GWh production Base settled in Chengdu

On September 16, the 11th Western China Investment presentation and Economic Cooperation Project signing ceremony was held in Chengdu. Leaders and well-known enterprises from the National Development and Reform Commission and 10 western provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government attended the event, and 11 representative projects were signed on the spot. Among them, Honeycomb Energy signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chengdu Municipal Government, which will spend 22 billion yuan to build a power battery manufacturing base and southwest R & D base with a total capacity of about 60GWh in Chengdu. Yang Hongxin, chairman and CEO of Honeycomb Energy, attended the signing ceremony.

Honeycomb Energy (Chengdu) power battery manufacturing and southwest R & D base project is located in the eastern new area of Chengdu, Jianzhou New City, covering an area of about 2500 mu, the project is planned to be built in three phases, each phase is about 20GWh power battery manufacturing and southwest R & D base, of which the first phase investment is about 10 billion yuan, and the proposed land area is about 767mu. This is the production base with the largest single investment and the highest capacity planning in Sichuan after the Suining 20GWh project, and plays a vital strategic role in the capacity layout of honeycomb energy. So far, Honeycomb Energy's new capacity planning for 2021 has reached 150GWhh, which is close to the overall 200GWh production capacity target of 2025.

The site selection of Chengdu attaches importance to the three core advantages of Chengdu, that is, abundant factor security advantages, including resources, talents, and financial security advantages; followed by rich application scenarios, new energy vehicles are widely used locally and have a broad market; there are also perfect comprehensive supporting, policy dividends and perfect industrial layout. In the future, Honeycomb Energy will increase the construction of two major bases in Suining and Chengdu, Sichuan, actively absorb talents in the lithium power industry, and make positive contributions to the development of the local and even China's lithium power industry.

In a short period of more than three years, production bases are all over the world, and European factories are invested overseas.
