Guangxi Baise will expand the aluminum intensive processing industry chain and build a new aluminum industry base between China and ASEAN.

On September 10th, a meeting of 2021 banks and enterprises to promote the high-quality development of Baise's new ecological aluminum industry was held in Nanning, Guangxi, organized by the Guangxi Baise Municipal CPC Committee and the Municipal people's Government. The reporter learned from the meeting that Baise will expand the aluminum intensive processing industry chain, build a China-ASEAN emerging aluminum industry base, and will make every effort to create a favorable business environment and contribute to the high-quality development of hundreds of billions of yuan ecological aluminum industry.

GE Guoke, mayor of Baise Municipal people's Government, pointed out in his speech that Baise is the aluminum capital of southern China, and its prospective bauxite reserves exceed 1 billion tons, accounting for about 1/4 of the country's reserves. It has formed an annual production capacity of 9.2 million tons of alumina, 2.17 million tons of electrolytic aluminum, and 3.35 million tons of aluminum processing. It has formed the whole industry chain of bauxite-alumina-electrolytic aluminum-aluminum intensive processing, and has become an important pole of the 100 billion yuan industrial cluster in Guangxi. Basically built a national ecological aluminum industry demonstration base. GE Guoke stressed that Baise will strive to expand the aluminum intensive processing industry chain, create hundreds of billions of yuan of new ecological aluminum industry, and build a China-ASEAN emerging aluminum industry base. It is reported that since 1986, Comrade Xiaoping proposed that "Guangxi pingguo aluminum should be developed!" Since the important instructions, Baise aluminum industry has grown from scratch, from small to large, from weak to strong, and has gradually grown into a pillar of Baise industry, a hundred billion yuan industrial cluster in Guangxi, and Baise has become a national ecological aluminum industry demonstration base. In 2020, the total output value of the aluminum industry was 70.59 billion yuan, accounting for 58.9 percent of the total industrial output value of the city and 86 percent of the total output value of the aluminum industry in Guangxi; the output of alumina was 920 tons, accounting for 12.6 percent of the country; the output of electrolytic aluminum was 2.17 million tons, accounting for 5.85 percent of the country; the output of aluminum processing was 3.35 million tons, accounting for 5.79 percent of the country. The mining recovery rate and mineral processing recovery rate of alumina enterprises have reached the leading level in the country and even in the world, and the reclamation rate and land restoration rate in bauxite mining area are among the leading level in the country. From January to July this year, the total output value of Baise's aluminum industry reached 52.17 billion yuan, an increase of 45.7 percent over the same period last year, and energy consumption per unit output decreased by 7.15 percent, maintaining a good momentum of accelerated development and high-quality development.
