Recently, GB/T 40382-2021 "recycled wrought Aluminum Alloy Raw Materials" and GB/T 40386-2021 "recycled Pure Aluminum Raw Materials" and other two national standards under the jurisdiction of the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee have been officially released (see China National Standard Bulletin No. 11 in 2021). The implementation date of the standard is March 2022. At present, the above two standards can be consulted in the full-text disclosure system of national standards.
GB/T 40382-2021 "recycled wrought Aluminum Alloy Raw Materials" stipulates the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, incoming inspection and acceptance, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and order (or contract) contents of recycled wrought aluminum alloy raw materials for melting and casting.
GB/T 40386-2021 "recycled Pure Aluminum Raw Materials" stipulates the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, incoming inspection and acceptance, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and order (or contract) contents of recycled pure aluminum raw materials, which are suitable for melting and casting pure aluminum raw materials obtained after separation and other processing of recycled aluminum.
"recycled deformed aluminum alloy raw material" and "recycled pure aluminum raw material" is an important part of the standard system of recycled aluminum raw materials. at present, the standard objects of recycled aluminum raw materials are those with high quality (high aluminum and aluminum alloy content, low melting loss, low inclusion content, low volatile content) that can be directly put into ordinary furnace smelting.

The standard is jointly developed by more than 20 units, including the Nonferrous Metals Technology and Economic Research Institute Co., Ltd., Shandong Nanshan Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., under the leadership of the Secretariat of the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee. Field research, organization of tests, listening to demand, unified understanding, from startup to approval, only took more than a year. In the whole formulation process, the Secretariat contacted closely with environmental protection, customs, production, users, third parties and other relevant parties, carried out research in domestic aluminum-related enterprises, went to the United States to participate in the ISRI annual meeting, and investigated American ABC, Apple and other recycling enterprises, which laid a solid foundation for the formulation of recycled aluminum raw material standards, and held many seminars one after another to discuss how to scientifically define and identify materials. Always grasp the national industrial policy, strictly do not touch the red line, do not scratch the edge, give full play to the role of standards in leading, threshold, standardization and reverse force, in order to fully implement the overall deployment of ecological and environmental protection, ban foreign waste entry to promote solid waste import management to lay the foundation.
The release of these two standards will provide strong support for the standardized recovery of high-quality recycled raw materials and ensure the import of high-quality recycled aluminum strategic resources, and at the same time will standardize and enhance the level of recycling of recycled aluminum resources and promote the conservation and efficient use of resources. promote the high-quality green and sustainable development of the aluminum industry and help the non-ferrous metals industry to achieve the goal of "carbon peak carbon neutralization".
