Profits in nonferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry has increased by 2-fold in the first seven months of the year.

SHANGHAI, Sep 2 (SMM) – Profits in nonferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry has increased by 2-fold in the first seven months of the year. The ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry saw profits rising 1.82-fold.

The mining industry achieved a total profit of 98.84 billion yuan from January to July, a year-on-year increase of 1.45-fold; the manufacturing industry achieved a total profit of nearly 4.14 trillion yuan, a gain of 56.4%.

Among 41 major industrial sectors, total profits rose year-on-year across 36 industries, and fell in two industries.
