Tianneng to Apply Blockchain Technologies to Lithium Batteries in Cooperation with ANT Group

SHANGHAI, Aug 20 (SMM) - Tianneng Lithium, a division of Tianneng Co. (688819), signed a cooperation agreement with Ant Chain, a subsidiary of Ant Group, today. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of new energy, including applying blockchain and other technologies to lithium batteries to achieve efficient management and improve the utilization rate of new energy batteries. According to the agreement, Ant Chain will provide Tianneng with blockchain, IoT, intelligent risk control and other technologies to “chain” battery and business data, and jointly explore new energy battery and related equipment management, tiered utilization of batteries, travel services, battery safety operation and recycling based on credible data to promote the upgrading of new energy industry structure and help reach carbon peak and carbon neutral. It is reported that Tianneng will implant AntChainMaaS, a trusted chain module in the battery management system BMS, to its battery management system, which has also been used in Chery's new energy vehicles.
