Apple's Mini LED order falls in the lower reaches of BOE and the industrial chain is about to become large-scale.

As an industry leader and weather vane, Apple's products and industrial chain have always been the focus of the industry. Before the launch of the new product this autumn, analysts have already set their sights on the new product next year.

According to the latest report from Tianfeng Securities Guo Mingyi, according to the latest survey, Apple plans to launch a new design MacBook Air, around the middle of 2022, one of the main selling points of this new model is the Mini LED display. This product is sold at a lower price and will significantly increase shipments of Mini LED displays.

And Beijing Oriental, LG show that (LG Display) is expected to become a new supplier of Mini LED display screen for the new MacBook Air in 2022.

This is the first time that BOE has won a high-end order for Apple at a high unit price. This will make a significant contribution to the design and production capacity of BOE's Mini LED display screen, which will help it to get more non-Apple orders. A positive view of the further growth of BOE under the upgrading of specifications and product mix / capacity optimization.

It is worth mentioning that Guo Mingyi released a report at the end of last month that the 2022 MacBook Air will have a 13.3-inch Mini LED display. If the shortage of spare parts continues to improve in 2022, it is estimated that MacBook shipments will grow to about 2000-22 million units next year (1700-18 million units in 2021) thanks to the continuous upgrading of the new MacBook Air and Apple Silicon.

The scale of the industrial chain is about to break out in the downstream application of Mini LED.

Draw your attention back to this year: since the beginning of the year, the terminal leader has begun to make intensive efforts in Mini LED. Apple's spring launch iPad Pro,Q3 with Mini LED technology will also launch a new MacBook Pro; with Mini LED display on July 29th, Huawei launched its first Mini LED backlit TV, priced at 24999 yuan, and Samsung's first Mini LED curved curved screen will also go on sale this month.

In addition, Jiang Gaozhen of Zheshang Securities pointed out that the upgrading trend of, Mini LED applications in vehicle screens and VR display areas is obvious, or the performance of the downstream Mini LED market will exceed expectations in the next 3-5 years.

The breakthrough in the terminal market and the expansion of the application scale show the cost reduction effect of, Mini LED, which will further improve the permeability in the future. TrendForce predicts that the Mini LED market is expected to reach $130 million in 2021 and a compound growth rate of 83.84 per cent in 2021-2024.

The new generation of display technology Mini LED not only puts forward higher technical requirements for the whole industry chain (such as chip flip design, efficient packaging, more lamp beads, etc.), but also brings corresponding opportunities to enhance the value. From the point of view of the supply chain pull rhythm, MiniLED equipment comes first, and many institutions suggest to pay attention to the domestic solid crystal / module / packaging equipment manufacturers that cut into the MiniLED industry chain.

In terms of in-vehicle electronics, Longli Technology is the core supplier of Mini LED backlight modules such as vehicle and VR.

In terms of smart screen / TV, Ruifeng Optoelectronics is a manufacturer of Mini LED TV backlight module.

In terms of iPad/NB, Pengding Holdings is the core supplier of Apple Mini LED backlit PCB, while Lixun Precision is the supplier of Apple Mini LED backlit SMT.

At the equipment end, Xinyichang is the leader of domestic Mini LED solid crystal machine, and Liande equipment is the manufacturer of Mini LED module assembly equipment.

Mini LED chip manufacturers include San'an Optoelectronics and so on.
