NEVs Compulsory for New Online Car-hailing Services Providers in Chengdu According to Latest Regulations

Recently, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Transport, together with other five authorities, jointly issued a new regulation for online car-hailing services - the Implementing Rules for the Management of Online Tax-Hailing Services in Chengdu. It is worth mentioning that the new regulation has almost mandated the use of new energy vehicles (NEVs) for new service providers, further boosting the popularity of NEVs.

SHANGHAI, Aug 5 (SMM) – Recently, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Transport, together with other five authorities, jointly issued a new regulation for online car-hailing services - the Implementing Rules for the Management of Online Tax-Hailing Services in Chengdu. It is worth mentioning that the new regulation has almost mandated the use of new energy vehicles (NEVs) for new service providers, further boosting the popularity of NEVs.

While the new regulation, took effect on July 27, 2021, also made clear that applications before the implementation of regulations or renewal of certificate are excluded items.
