Industrial batch production of rare Earth galvanized sheet in Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel sheet Plant

Recently, Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel sheet Plant mass produced the first volume of SGCC- Retype rare earth galvanized steel plate, further enriching the rare earth series products of Baotou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.

The development of rare earth galvanized sheet of Baotou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. started in 2019, completed the first industrial trial production in 2020, and carried out a large number of anti-corrosion performance research and user tracking research. Compared with ordinary galvanized steel sheet, rare earth galvanized sheet has better corrosion resistance and product performance has been further improved. The industrial batch production of rare earth galvanized steel sheet has laid the foundation for the large-scale introduction of rare earth galvanized products to the market in Inner Mongolia.

Up to now, Baotou Steel has completed and studied a total of more than 70 rare earth steel projects, which can be mass produced in 5 categories and more than 50 rare earth steel varieties. From January to May in 2021, Baotou Steel produced a total of 255000 tons of rare earth steel products. In the next step, Baotou Steel will continue to enrich the series of rare earth steel products, increase market promotion efforts, and constantly enhance market influence.
