China strives to achieve carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutralization by 2060, which is a major strategic decision made by the CPC Central Committee after careful consideration. The realization of this goal will greatly increase the demand for rare earth functional materials, especially rare earth magnets. The most fundamental way to achieve carbon neutralization is to transform from the energy structure, using renewable energy, nuclear energy and other clean energy to replace coal, oil, natural gas and other fossil energy. The accelerated infiltration of NdFeB permanent magnets is conducive to energy saving and reducing carbon emissions. Standing in the tuyere of low-carbon economy, rare earth permanent magnet materials usher in a new development opportunity, and the demand for them is also increasing. Rare earth permanent magnet material NdFeB is widely used in civil products and high-tech fields, and it is more and more widely used with the progress of science and technology.

Recycling waste NdFeB is an effective way to resolve the supply crisis of key rare earth elements and to maintain the global advantage of rare earth resources in China. Over the years, Southern permanent Magnet has actively carried out the industrial layout of NdFeB recycling. Founded in 1993, the company covers an area of 200mu, with a building area of 83000 square meters and a registered capital of 110 million yuan. It is located in Pizhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Jiangsu Province. The company is a national high-tech enterprise, a national contract-abiding and credit-worthy enterprise, an "urban mineral" demonstration enterprise in Jiangsu Province, an enterprise technology center in Jiangsu Province, and an Engineering and Technology Research Center in Jiangsu Province.

The company is committed to the recovery, processing and comprehensive recycling of NdFeB waste. At present, it has the production capacity of "annual treatment of NdFeB waste of 10000 tons, annual output of NdFeB strong magnetic materials, metal praseodymium, neodymium and dysprosium each 3000 tons". From the high temperature oxidation of waste, extraction separation, metal electrolysis, NdFeB strong magnetic and permanent magnet device production, formed a complete industrial chain. The products cover four series of rare earth oxides, rare earth metals, NdFeB high intensity magnetism and NdFeB devices. Among them, the metal praseodymium, neodymium and dysprosium products have been approved by the national invention patent, and the appearance of this product has filled the international gap, and its production and sales volume The company has set up overseas offices in more than 10 provinces and cities across the country, forming a very perfect product sales and waste recycling network system.

The company has passed ISO9001, ISO14001:2004 and GB/T28001-2011 certification, and in strict accordance with the management system for production management, continuous technological innovation, to the maximum extent to meet customer requirements for product quality changes. "Southern permanent Magnet" series of rare metal products have been successfully registered in the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

The company will make full use of the advantages of the industrial chain, integrate resources, recycle, adhere to environmental protection production, scientific and technological innovation, promote the transformation and upgrading of the entire waste resources recycling industry, and promote green and harmonious development. And continue to extend the permanent magnet industry chain, to permanent magnet motors, new energy vehicles and other fields of development.

Forge ahead and forge ahead! In the future, we will serve the waste resources recycling and processing industry with superior product quality and thoughtful service. We are willing to work hand in hand with colleagues in the industry with the most sincere cooperative attitude to enhance the international competitiveness of our products. to meet the major needs of national high-tech development.

South Korea to Exempt Tariffs on Overseas-Sourced Critical Minerals
On the 25th, it was confirmed that the South Korean government will exempt tariffs of 3–8% on critical minerals such as lithium, graphite, and rare earth elements when domestically owned companies directly produce and import them from overseas. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has pre-announced a new regulation outlining tariff exemptions for overseas resource development projects. Under the policy, a total of 14 critical minerals—including lithium, graphite, nickel, cobalt, manganese, copper, zinc, and rare earth elements such as lanthanum, cerium, neodymium, terbium, dysprosium, yttrium, and scandium—will be eligible for duty exemption when brought into the country. The regulation is set to take effect on April 3.

Rare Earth Prices Fluctuated Relatively Little, While Downstream Procurement Demand Remained Weak [SMM Rare Earth Weekly Review]
[SMM Rare Earth Weekly Review: Rare Earth Prices Saw Relatively Small Fluctuations, While Downstream Procurement Demand Remained Weak] The Pr-Nd oxide market was relatively calm this week. Demand from downstream metal plants was sluggish, but upstream supply also remained tight. Suppliers were unwilling to make shipments at low prices, and the back-and-forth negotiations between upstream and downstream remained in a stalemate. Pr-Nd oxide prices saw small fluctuations to 710,000-715,000 yuan/mt.

Energy Fuels Produces First Terbium Oxide in US, Boosting Domestic Rare Earth Supply Chain
US rare earth producer Energy Fuels announced that its White Mesa mill in Utah has successfully produced its first batch of terbium oxide with a purity of 99.9. This marks the first time in decades that the US has produced this heavy rare earth element from primary mineral raw materials, using monazite mined in Florida and Georgia. The company had previously trial-produced dysprosium oxide at the facility and is expected to expand heavy rare earth capacity in the coming years. It is estimated that upon completion of the second-phase expansion in 2029, the White Mesa mill will have the annual capacity to produce dysprosium oxide (288 mt), terbium oxide (80 mt), and Pr-Nd oxide (6,000 mt), supporting the development of a domestic rare earth supply chain in the US.
