Ruifeng Optoelectronics: at present, the company's Mini LED has begun to ship in bulk.

Published: Jul 22, 2021 11:19

Recently, Ruifeng Optoelectronics said in an institutional survey that the company's Mini LED has begun to ship in bulk. There are also terminal products with Ruifeng Mini LED backlit products, and it is expected that there will be more Ruifeng Mini LED backlit products in the second half of 2021. With the continuous introduction of terminal products, the company will expand its production of Synchronize according to customer demand.

At present, Ruifeng optical tram LED business is developing well and has achieved rapid growth in recent years. The company has been working closely with major car companies to maintain good project cooperation. At present, the company's Mini headlight project is in the research and development stage. In addition, in May this year, Ruifeng Optoelectronics completed a non-public offering financing of 699 million yuan, which is mainly used for the expansion of RGB LED and MiniLED business.

For glass-based Mini LED, Ruifeng Optoelectronics said that the company's research projects include glass substrate and PCB substrate technology path. In the long run, glass substrate has more advantages than PCB in flatness, heat dissipation and cost. However, at present, there are still some technical bottlenecks to be broken on the glass substrate, and the yield is not as high as that of the PCB substrate, and there is still a long way to go from large-scale mass production. The company will also continue to maintain the research and development of glass-based products and follow up the development of the industry.

With regard to the high cost of Mini backlit TVs, Ruifeng Optoelectronics said that the emergence of, Mini LED backlit TVs is to enable LCD to compete with OLED in the field of high-end televisions. Therefore, the early Mini LED backlit TV will take the high-end route, and even the high-end Mini LED backlit TV will have a price advantage over the same level of OLED TV. In the future, according to the number of divisions, Mini LED backlit TV can be divided into high, middle and low grade, covering a larger market.

Mini LED backlight products are the most mature direction of technology and application at present. Compared with OLED, the thickness of LCD panel with Mini LED backlight design is basically the same as that of OLED panel, while, Mini LED backlight products can have more detailed screen performance and lower cost. Considering the current technical level, production cost and other factors, small size display will be the competitive market between OLED and Micro LED, while Mini LED will focus on medium and large size display, or e-sports, car and other markets with service life requirements.

Magnesium Plant Maintenance Drags Weekly Output; Strong Supply and Weak Demand Sustain Inventory Buildup [SMM Magnesium Weekly Data]
[Magnesium Plant Maintenance Dragged Down Weekly Output, Supply Strong and Demand Weak with Continuous Inventory Buildup] This week, the magnesium ingot market in the main production areas retreated after a rapid rise. At the beginning of the week, maintenance positives supported prices, but high downstream inventories and fear of high prices suppressed transactions, with some producers offering discounts to sell, putting magnesium prices under pressure and causing them to weaken. Tianjin port FOB prices passively followed the decline in China’s EXW prices, as sluggish demand during the summer break outside China and elevated ocean freight rates suppressed deals. Dolomite prices were stable, providing limited cost support. Magnesium powder and magnesium alloy prices first declined and then stabilized, following the trend of magnesium ingot. Downstream sectors such as steel mill desulfurization, titanium sponge, and die-casting enterprises entered the off-season, with transactions remaining sluggish, leaving the oversupply pattern unchanged. In the short term, the magnesium market will continue to move sideways.
