At about 6: 00 a.m. on the 20th, an explosion occurred in Dengdian Group Aluminum Alloy Co., Ltd., Quhe Village, Gaocheng Town, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. At present, there are no casualties or missing. It is understood that the actual electrolytic aluminum production capacity of Dengdian Group is about 40,000 tons, and industry analysts believe that this magnitude of damage has little impact on the entire aluminum industry.

At about 4: 00 this morning, the water level of the Yinghe River near the Dengdian Group Aluminum Alloy Co., Ltd., the accident enterprise, rose sharply and exceeded the warning water level. due to the collapse of the wall caused by the sudden rise of the river water level and the influx of water into the plant area, the company immediately cut power and organized the safe evacuation of personnel. At about 6: 00, an explosion was caused by the high temperature solution in the alloy trough in the plant area when the flood spread. After the explosion, Dengfeng City immediately organized on-site disposal to evacuate people around the factory area.

A senior executive of a large electrolytic aluminum company in Henan told the Financial Associated Press that the actual production capacity of the factory involved in the accident was about 40,000 tons, and even if the safety inspection was launched, it was estimated to be carried out at the same time as the production loss of electrolytic aluminum was very large.

It is understood that the annual production capacity of compressed electrolytic aluminum in Henan Province will reach 2.5 million tons in 2020. In Henan, where aluminum was once a strong province, the number of electrolytic aluminum manufacturers has been reduced from 21 in its heyday to 5 at present, with a total design capacity of 1.9 million tons, including 420000 tons of Jiaozuo Wanfang, 600000 tons of Yidian Group, 580000 tons of Wanji, 250000 tons of Zhongfu Industry and 50, 000 tons of aluminum alloy plant of Dengfeng Power Plant Group. Compared with the 4.85 million tons in its heyday, the production capacity decreased by 2.95 million tons, accounting for 60.82% of the total production capacity.

According to the analysis of electrolytic aluminum industry analysts, safety checks will certainly be strengthened around Dengfeng after the explosion, and the production capacity of 40,000 tons will have little impact on the industry as a whole. Moreover, Henan Province has recently been in a state of power shortage, half of the large factories have stopped production, and all the small factories have stopped production, so the operating rate of the overall electrolytic aluminum plant itself is not high.

Data show that Dengdian Group Aluminum Alloy Co., Ltd. was established in 2002, mainly engaged in ferrosilicon, remelted aluminum ingots, aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, titanium alloy smelting, processing and technical consulting business.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
