The second phase of the Huagang Mining Copper and Cobalt Mine Project, designed and partially supplied by China Ruilin, successfully produced the first batch of cathode copper on June 30, local time in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It marks that the modern production process of the project which integrates mining, separation, smelting and roasting acid production has been opened up.

After the second phase of Huagang Mining Copper and Cobalt Mine project reaches production, the annual treatment of ore will reach 9.1 million tons, the annual output of cathode copper will reach 253500 tons, and the annual output of cobalt hydroxide will reach 5180 tons. The production capacity of cathode copper ranks first in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and ranks among the top 10 in the world. It has become the only super-large enterprise in the world in the whole industry chain of modern mines integrating mining, metallurgy and roasting acid production. China Ruilin serves as the overall design institute of the project, and supplies full-automatic electrowinning peeling machine and precise positioning automatic driving.

The second phase of the Huagang Copper and Cobalt Mine Project is another fruitful achievement of China's Ruilin in ploughing the African mining market, further consolidating China's leading position in the field of copper-cobalt wet mines. In the process of internationalization, China Ruilin has always focused on innovation-driven, making technological innovation the source of development, forming a number of leading key technologies at home and abroad in the field of wet mines, and successfully popularizing and applying them. In the second phase of the copper-cobalt mine project of Huagang Mining, the ore treated by the project is a mixed ore, which has the characteristics of high magnesium, calcium and low sulfur, which is not conducive to the comprehensive recovery of copper-cobalt minerals. In order to solve the difficult problem in this industry, the Chinese Ruilin team made an in-depth study of the ore characteristics, and fully combined with the needs of the follow-up smelting process, determined the process route of "strengthening sulfur separation, magnetic flotation, copper and cobalt separation, slag leaching flotation". It provides a technological guarantee for the success of the project. Among them, the adjustable mixed separation process design is adopted for the first time in the flotation process design, which solves the separation problem that the proportion of mixed ore varies greatly in different periods; at the same time, the leaching slag flotation process is applied for the first time at home and abroad. the total recovery rate of copper in the mine is effectively improved. The application of these new technologies and new technologies also adds fresh water and new impetus to the development of non-ferrous mining technology.

In addition to leading the world in copper and cobalt wet technology, China's Ruilin equipment manufacturing has also set sail and made remarkable achievements. In the second phase of Huagang Mining Copper and Cobalt Mine Project, China Ruilin supplied 2 sets of peeling units and 4 sets of automatic driving and special spreaders as a whole. For the first time, the peeling machine uses four robots to work together at the same time, and adopts single-chip front washing technology, the nozzle is perpendicular to the cathode copper plate surface, the plate surface washing quality is high, and the peeling speed is as high as 600 pieces per hour. The automatic driving and the special hanger are designed according to the self-driving standard, and the span of the plant reaches 33.5 m, which realizes the smooth operation under the condition of long span and heavy load. at the same time, the assembled design of the main beam is adopted, which further improves the overall manufacturing accuracy. In addition to the Huagang Mining Copper and Cobalt Mine project, the electrowinning units independently developed and manufactured by Ruilin in China have also been successfully applied in more than ten other wet mining projects abroad, and their performance indicators have reached the international advanced level.

The Huagang Mining Copper and Cobalt Mine project is regarded as a model project for Chinese enterprises to "go global" in Africa. China's Ruilin adds luster to it with "Ruilin Technology" and "Ruilin Intelligence". It has enhanced the influence of Chinese non-ferrous metal engineering technology brands abroad.
