It is reported that Hydro recently announced that its extrusion plant, which was idle a few years ago, will reopen to meet the growing demand for sustainable aluminum profiles. The facility will increase the capacity of Swedish Hydro Extrusions's aluminum profiles made of recycled aluminum by about 20 per cent.

The plant will be fully operational in the autumn of 2021.

With the surge in demand for high-quality and sustainable aluminum profiles, Hydro Extrusions Sweden will add another press and increase annual production capacity by about 10000 tons.

Hydro aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 30 per cent by 2030 and increase its ability to recover aluminum.
