Continuous catalysis of lithium electricity market: Tesla's "Shangxin" stacking plant to expand the production capacity of equipment merchants are generally tight.

In the short term, with the worldwide popularity of vaccines, overseas battery manufacturers have started to invest and expand production, and the demand for lithium power equipment is expected to enter a centralized release period in the next six months.

On the 8th, a number of stocks of A-share lithium power equipment strengthened. As of the close, shares of Hemuxing and Keheng rose by the limit, winning and Technology rose by more than 13%, and Liyuanheng and Hangke Technology rose by more than 4%.

On the news, according to Tesla's official Weibo, Tesla's Chinese official website officially launched the Model Y standard continued version today (8) and accepts reservations from now on. The new Model Y standard battery life version starts at 276000 yuan and has a range of 525km.

Model Y is the SUV model of Tesla. From the point of view of China's passenger car market, because SUV has the characteristics of large space, good vision and higher driving comfort, it is more and more favored by users. Domestic Model Y began mass production in January this year, and sales rose rapidly with the end of capacity climbing. From January to May, it overtook the Model3 to become Tesla's most popular car in China.

In the second quarter of 2021, Tesla's car sales increased by 121.42 compared with the same period last year, an increase of 8.9% month-on-month. Delivery reached an all-time high, and Model3/Y contributed most of the sales.

With the strong demand for new energy vehicles, Tesla chose to deeply bind upstream battery suppliers. China-made Tesla Model Y will be equipped with Ningde-era lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP), the Financial Associated Press reported on June 11. Prior to this, the domestic Model Y was equipped with ternary power batteries supplied by LG. Then, on June 28th, Ningde Times signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Tesla to supply Tesla with lithium battery products from January 2022 to December 2025.

Looking at the whole new energy vehicle industry, the continuous growth of downstream product sales confirms that the boom continues to rise, and the strong driving force for battery manufacturers to expand production has led to a steady growth in demand for lithium-ion equipment.

The upstream upstream of the hot industrial chain of new energy vehicles is facing the wind.

On July 1st, South Korean battery giant SK plans to break up its subsidiary SK Innovation, to focus on expanding power battery capacity. Currently, the backlog of lithium battery orders on hand has exceeded that of 1000GWh. According to the company's plan, it will expand its 160/460GWh lithium battery production capacity in the next five years / the next 10 years, which corresponds to more than 300 / 90 billion yuan of lithium battery equipment demand, respectively, according to Kong Lingxin, an analyst with China International Capital Corporation.

SKI's production expansion plan is not alone, lithium battery manufacturers' production expansion has accelerated significantly recently. On June 8 this year, LG New Energy submitted for listing for reference, intending to raise 57.3 billion yuan to expand production capacity of 160 GWH; on June 10, Yiwei Lithium Energy announced that it planned to invest in annual 104.5Gwh energy storage lithium battery capacity; on June 10, Sweden Northvolt announced that it had raised US $2.75 billion to expand 20Gwh battery capacity. Needless to say, the domestic lithium battery leader Ningde era has accelerated production expansion since the third quarter of last year, and in the first half of this year alone, it issued a contract of 4.55 billion yuan to the leader.

In the short term, with the worldwide popularity of vaccines and the investment and expansion of overseas battery manufacturers, the demand for lithium-ion equipment is expected to enter a centralized release period in the next six months.

In the long run, with the continuous improvement of the permeability of new energy vehicles, the installed capacity of power batteries will continue to grow at a high speed, and the demand for lithium-ion equipment is improving, and there is still a lot of room for growth. Kong Lingxin, an analyst at China International Capital Corporation, predicts that in 2025, the installed capacity of global power lithium batteries is expected to reach 1430GWh.Its Chinese market will reach 428GWh.On overseas markets, the total amount of 1052GWhs will account for 70% of Prida's demand. From 2021 to 2025, the installed CAGR of lithium batteries in overseas markets will reach 64%. The installed CAGR of lithium batteries in China will reach 38%, which will lead to a steady increase in demand for lithium devices.

Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily collated the research reports of domestic mainstream lithium equipment suppliers in the past three months, and found that sufficient orders-on-hand, tight production capacity and strong willingness to expand production are the common characteristics of these companies.

Neptune's power battery equipment is mainly high-speed laser machine, cell assembly line, cell drying line, and the market share of power battery laser equipment is about 35% and 40%. The company said in June that the current production capacity is sufficient, the production schedule is tight, the delivery period of power battery equipment is 4-6 months, and the production expansion fund-raising project is under construction.

The latter part of the testing equipment supplier Xinyun Co., Ltd. said in a survey in May that the company's current production capacity is full, customers cover battery manufacturers and vehicle manufacturers, and battery manufacturers account for a larger proportion of the business. With the rapid development of the new energy industry, more and more car companies pay attention to battery testing. At the same time, some car companies begin to build their own battery production lines, and the number of car companies purchasing from companies is also gradually increasing. The company has received an order from Thuringia of Germany in the Ningde era and intends to set up a subsidiary in the United States to continue to open up overseas markets.

Ke Heng said at the 2020 results presentation meeting in May that as of May 1, the wholly-owned subsidiary Haoneng Technology had 2.9 billion orders on hand, with about 2.5 billion outstanding, which will basically be completed within the year, and some will continue into the first quarter of 2022. By the end of 2020, the relocation and expansion of the company has been completed, and the production capacity is sufficient.

Yinghe Technology said in June that the current on-hand orders are relatively full. As of mid-May 2021, the company has signed nearly 4.3 billion yuan of lithium equipment orders so far this year, with orders in hand exceeding 5.2 billion yuan. And the order quality continues to optimize, the main customers include Ningde era, Honeycomb Energy, Zhuhai Guanyu, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, Yiwei Lithium Energy, LG and so on. In the next few years, in addition to technology and order competition, but also delivery and supply chain competition.

Pilot Intelligence signed 11.063 billion yuan (excluding tax) in 2020, a record high, and the company's newly signed orders reached 3.849 billion yuan (excluding tax) in the first quarter of 2021.
