The reporter investigated a number of listed companies and learned that in the first half of the year, the head copper foil enterprises were "full production and full sales", and the capacity utilization rate of some companies even exceeded 140% when they were exuberant. And judging from the current installation plans of downstream manufacturers, supply and demand in the second half of this year will be more tight than in the first half of this year, and prices are expected to rise.

Benefiting from the rapid development of 5G, new energy vehicles, IDC, automotive electronics, consumer electronics and other fields, the demand for copper foil and copper clad laminate is strong. As the cathode roller, the main production equipment of copper foil, is mainly imported and restricted by its shipment, it is difficult to expand the production of copper foil. According to agency estimates, the total demand for copper foil for power batteries will be about 313000 tons by 2025, an increase of 114% over the current demand; the demand for less than 6 μ m is 292000 tons, more than eight times the current demand. At present, the domestic production capacity of less than 6 μ m is less, and the supply and demand of 6 μ m will be tight in the future.
