Russia to impose temporary export taxes on metals.

Russian government plans to impose temporary export taxes on steel, nickel, aluminium and copper, amid the rising metals prices in the country.

SHANGHAI, June 25 (SMM) - Russian government plans to impose temporary export taxes on steel, nickel, aluminium and copper, amid the rising metals prices in the country.

The taxes will be effective from August 1 until the end of 2021, with the specific export duty at 15%, including $1,226/mt on copper, $2,321/mt on nickel, and $254/mt on low-grade aluminium.
