According to Ningde Times, on May 28, 2021, the Industrial Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a meeting in Ningde to conduct a comprehensive performance evaluation of the national key R & D plan "Intelligent Electroweb Technology and equipment" key special project "Development and Application of 100MWh-class New scale Lithium Battery Energy Storage Technology" led by Ningde Times.

After various discussions, the expert group agreed that the project in Ningde era had successfully completed all the assessment targets previously set, and fully affirmed the important results achieved by the project.

It is reported that the project has conquered the core technology of 12000 special energy storage batteries with ultra-long cycle life and high safety performance, and mastered the unified regulation and control of large-scale energy storage power stations, battery energy management and other system integration technology, and the relevant achievements have been successfully applied to Fujian Jinjiang 30MW/108MWh energy storage power station, becoming a new benchmark for 100 megawatt-hour energy storage power stations in the world.

It is worth mentioning that the acceptance of this project not only represents the birth of the core technology of special energy storage battery with ultra-long life and high safety performance, but also, according to the previous assessment indicators, the service life of the battery will be more than 15 years, and the cost less than 1500 yuan / kWh, can be said to be a typical example of low cost, high safety, high conversion rate and ultra-long life lithium-ion battery.

Through the implementation of this project, it will solve the major common key technical problems in the energy storage industry, break through the bottleneck of the development of new energy energy storage industry, and greatly enhance the scientific and technological innovation capability and industrial competitiveness of China's lithium battery energy storage and related industries.
