Foxconn, a unit of Hon Hai Group, is about to reopen its plant in Beijiang, Vietnam, which was closed by COVID-19.
It is reported that all Foxconn factories in Beijiang Province have been listed by the local government as the first batch of enterprises to resume production on May 28. Foxconn said it would step up epidemic prevention and control measures at its factories in Vietnam and give top priority to the health of its workers. At the same time, it will be based on changes in government policies to deal with the epidemic.
According to previous reports, Vietnam temporarily closed four industrial parks in Beijiang province, including three Hon Hai factories, on the 18th of this month due to the spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic. Then on Tuesday, Vietnam expanded the blockade of its industrial park in the north, and curfews and other travel restrictions were imposed in Beining province, where Samsung's factory is located.
