Discounts of high-grade NPI against stainless steel scrap averaged at 122 yuan/mtu, which was slightly lower than the previous week, but the price per mtu remained cost-effective.

SHANGHAI, May 26 (SMM) — Discounts of high-grade NPI against stainless steel scrap averaged at 122 yuan/mtu, which was slightly lower than the previous week, but the price per mtu remained cost-effective. The discounts fell last week as stainless steel scrap prices trended lower with stainless steel costs in the second half of last week and cost effectiveness rose slightly. But high-grade NPI was more economical.
