Operating rates at lead-acid battery makers were stable this week

Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces remained unchanged from May 14 at 74.21% as of Friday May 21.

SHANGHAI, May 21 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces remained unchanged from May 14 at 74.21% as of Friday May 21.

As the lead-acid market is still in a low season, distributors restocked only as required, and orders at battery makers failed to improve. Many battery plants had to reduce output as lead prices fluctuated vigorously.
