On the morning of May 8th, the innovative project of upgrading Panxi titanium concentrate to titanium chloride slag of 500000 tons of Panxi titanium concentrate of Longpan Bailian Group, a key industrialization project in Sichuan Province, was officially put into operation, indicating that Panzhihua City has entered a new stage in promoting the deep development and utilization of vanadium titanium magnetite.

Zhang Zhenghong, secretary of the municipal party committee, attended the "electrification and commissioning" event and announced that the project was officially electrified and put into operation. Subsequently, Zhang Zhenghong started the power supply of the equipment together with Xu Gang, party committee secretary and chairman of Longbai Group, Huang Zhengfu, chairman of the standing Committee of the Municipal people's Congress, and Li Qunlin, chairman of the Municipal people's political Consultative Conference.

In recent years, relying on the rich vanadium-titanium magnetite resources in Panzhihua City, Longbai Group has successfully overcome the problem of localization of chlorination raw materials and carried out strategic investment layout by giving full play to its advantages in technology, talent and capital. The project officially started construction in February 2019, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. After reaching production, it can achieve an annual output of 300000 tons of titanium chloride slag. The construction and operation of the project is not only a concrete application of innovative technology for comprehensive utilization of vanadium titanium magnetite in Panzhihua City, but also a vivid practice of deeply implementing the requirements of "three new", comprehensively promoting the construction of "three circles" and promoting high-quality development with scientific and technological innovation.

At the event site, Chairman Xu Gang introduced the construction of the innovative project of upgrading and transforming 500000 tons of Panxi titanium concentrate into titanium chloride slag and the situation of enterprises investing in major innovative projects during the 14th five-year Plan period.
