The announcement of the officials before and after the two sides means that 360, who was hovering on the edge of building a car, has made up his mind to build a car.
Is the 360 car-building path more inclined to Huawei?
In fact, there are signs that 360 is working with Nahan to build a car. On April 26 this year, Naha announced the launch of about 3 billion yuan in D-round financing, led by 360, an Internet security company headed by Zhou Hongyi. After completing all the financing, 360 is expected to become the second largest shareholder in Naga.
Before this financing, Zhou Hongyi also made a low-key appearance at the Nahan auto booth at the Shanghai Auto Show. In addition, some car insiders have also revealed to the media that 360 has been in contact with Nahu for more than two months, and not long ago, Zhou Hongyi himself led a team to visit Nahu car to investigate which car factory and experience which car products.
From the beginning of contacting and investing in Nahan cars, both inside and outside the industry have speculated that 360 will also enter the market to build cars. after all, technology or Internet companies such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Baidu and Foxconn have dabbled in intelligent electric vehicles, and under the trend of intelligent networking in the future, 360, which focuses on Internet security, has a lot of room to play.
However, with regard to car-building, 360 lingered for a short time after investing in the car. 360 responded to the car-building incident by saying that investing in the car is only one of 360's intentions in the field of new energy smart vehicles, and the letter of intent involved at this stage is not legally binding. This time, through the official declaration of "cooperative car building", it shows that 360 is positive about building a car.
At present, there are roughly two ways for Internet or technology companies to build cars, one is to build cars directly by themselves or to set up joint ventures, such as Xiaomi and Baidu, and the other is to locate smart car solution providers. such as Huawei, which has repeatedly reiterated that it does not build cars. Although the specific content of the "360 Group Smart car Strategy" is not yet known, in terms of the meaning of the word "cooperative car construction", the path of 360 layout of smart cars may be more inclined to Huawei.
