Ganfeng lithium industry: plans to produce 100000 tons of LCE brine and clay lithium extraction capacity in 2025

[Ganfeng Lithium Industry: plans to produce 100000 tons of LCE brine and clay lithium extraction capacity in 2025] Ganfeng Lithium Industry will expand its capacity according to the future market demand changes and evaluation of lithium products, and plans to form an annual capacity of 100000 tons of LCE ore lithium extraction, 100000 tons of LCE brine and clay lithium extraction capacity in 2025. The future layout will mainly focus on the development of salt lakes in Argentina and lithium clay projects in Mexico.

In terms of lithium salt plate, Ganfeng Lithium Industry has a production capacity of 81000 tons of lithium hydroxide, 40500 tons of lithium carbonate and 1600 tons of metal lithium in 2021, and will add 40, 000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate to Argentina's Cauchari-Olaroz Lithium Salt Lake project in 2022.

Among them, the fire part of the first stage of the 10,000-ton lithium salt phase III project of the company's Mahong plant was ignited for trial production at the end of October 2020 and reached production before the Spring Festival in 2021, while the back-end wet part was installed in January 2021 and all reached production in April 2021. The production and operation of the project is smooth.

In addition, the lithium resources currently held by Ganfeng Lithium Industry mainly include Australia's Mount Marion, Pilgangoora and Ireland's Avalonia; brine resources are mainly Argentina's Mariana, Cauchari-Olaroz; Mexico's Sonora lithium clay mine. The company underwrites 400000 tons / year lithium concentrate of Mount Marion project, 310000 tons / year lithium concentrate of phase 1 and 2 of Pilgangoora project, 75% production capacity of battery-grade lithium carbonate products of Argentina Cauchari-Olaroz brine project, and 160000 tons / year lithium concentrate of Manono project. At present, the company has stored spodumene stock for half a year, and the raw material reserve is sufficient.

Among them, the Mexican Sonora lithium clay project has a large amount of resources, easy to extract and high efficiency of lithium extraction, which can not only complete the lithium extraction process in a short time at the speed similar to that of ore extraction, but also complete lithium extraction at a lower cost at a cost similar to that of brine. At present, the company has completed the certification of lithium clay technology and technology, and is actively promoting the design of the production line. Recently, the company plans to offer to acquire all shares of Bacanora, realizing 100% shareholding in Sonora lithium clay project.

Ganfeng Lithium Industry said that it will expand its capacity according to the future market demand changes and evaluation of lithium products, and plans to form an annual capacity of 100000 tons of LCE ore lithium extraction, 100000 tons of LCE brine and clay lithium extraction capacity in 2025, with the future layout mainly focused on the development of Argentine salt lakes and Mexican lithium clay projects.

According to western securities analysis, the current average price of spodumene is $610 / ton, up 45% from $420 / ton at the beginning of the year. Downstream new energy vehicle scene demeanor continues to rise upstream raw material prices, spodumene upward trend is expected to continue. Under the background of the upstream demand and rising product prices, Ganfeng lithium industry is expected to continue to improve its profitability as the leading lithium industry in the upstream resource side of the layout.

It is worth noting that Ganfeng Lithium Industry reported in the first quarter of 2021 that the company's revenue from January to March was 1.607 billion yuan, an increase of 48.94% over the same period last year; the net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was 476 million yuan, a year-on-year surge of 6046.30%. At the same time, benefiting from the rising sales and price of the company's lithium salt products and the gradual expansion of lithium battery products, the company expects to make a net profit of 800 million yuan to 1.2 billion yuan in the first half of this year, an increase of 411.23% to 666.85% over the same period last year.
