






On May 6, Weilai released its Norwegian strategy and officially entered the Norwegian market. This is the first step for Weilai to enter the market outside China. Weilai announced that it will launch the delivery of its first model, the new ES8, the smart electric flagship SUV, in Norway in September this year. The smart electric flagship car ET7 will officially enter the Norwegian market next year.
It is reported that Weilai will set up a direct sales and service network in Norway. The first Weilai center outside the Chinese market will open on Karl Johns Avenue, the commercial and cultural center of Oslo, Norway, in the third quarter of this year. In 2022, Weilai will also build four Weilai Space (NIO Space) in Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim and Christian Sang, Norway.
In addition, Weilai will build a complete power-up system in Norway. This year, the European version of the charging map and the first batch of four second-generation power stations will be put into operation. In 2022, Weilai will build exchange power stations in five cities in Norway.
According to the latest production and sales figures released by Weilai, in April 2021, the delivery volume of Weilai reached 7102 units, an increase of 125.1% over the same period last year. Among them, the new ES8 delivered 1523 units, the ES6 delivered 3163 units, and the EC6 delivered 2416 units. By the end of April, the cumulative delivery volume of Weilai reached 102803 units, exceeding the milestone of 100000.
Weilai expects that the company's delivery volume will reach between 21000 and 22000 vehicles in the second quarter of 2021, an increase of about 103% to 113% over the first quarter of 2020 and about 5% to 10% over the first quarter of 2021. Total revenue is expected to be between 8.1461 billion yuan ($1.2433 billion) and 8.5045 billion yuan ($1.298 billion), an increase of about 119.0% to 128.7% over the first quarter of 2020 and about 2.1% to 6.5% over the first quarter of 2021.
