SHANGHAI, Apr 30 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces remained unchanged from the previous week at 75% as of Friday April 30.
Distributors were reluctant to purchase amid this low season. Although battery makers reduced prices intending to promote sales, orders at some producers still shrank by 20-30% compared with March. Hiking inventory pressure drove some e-bike battery producers to take 1-5 days off while automotive battery makers 3-7 days off during the Labour Day holiday.
