SHANGHAI, Apr 21 (SMM) – China imported 69,100 mt of aluminium scrap in January 2021, a year-on-year increase of 9.5% and a month-on-month decrease of 16.21%. China imported 38,100 mt of aluminium scrap in February 2021, a year-on-year decrease of 35.5% and a month-on-month decrease of 44.9%. China aluminium scrap imports totalled 107,200 mt from January and February 2021, a year-on-year decrease of 12.3%, customs data showed. According to market survey, the rumours of Sanshan Port in Guangdong were slightly eased in March, while at the same time, inspections at other ports are still tight. Aluminium scrap imports in March will slightly increase to around 70,000 mt from the previous month, and the import from Sanshan Port in Guangdong mainly contributes to the increase.
