Silicon social inventories shrank 7,000 mt on week

Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port declined 7,000 mt from the prior week to 50,000 mt as of Friday Apr 9, SMM data showed.

SHANGHAI, Apr 9 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port declined 7,000 mt from the prior week to 50,000 mt as of Friday Apr 9, SMM data showed.

Stocks fell sharply at Tianjin port as silicon plants in Xinjiang reduced shipments to Tianjin port after they signed contracts actively.

Silicon social inventories are expected to shrink further in the near term.
