







Diversified prospector Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) is about to begin drilling at the Khusib Springs copper mine in Namibia.
Khusib Springs is located near the town of (Grootfontein) in Groot Fontaine, Namibia, which was closed in 2003. Between 1996 and 2003, Khusib Springs produced 300000 tons of 10 per cent copper and 584g / tonne of silver. Khusib Springs's historical mining data include 4.5m, 35.19% copper, 3.67% lead 2.23% zinc and 2090.91 g / t silver, and 14m, 8.12% copper 0.75% lead, 0.52% zinc and 385.06 g / t silver.
Drilling work will begin the 18-hole 750m reverse cycle process in April, subject to the approval of the landowner. The program will also test the collapse of deposits mined from underground but not extended to the surface.
