China exported 153,200 mt of aluminium extrusions from January to February

SHANGHAI, Mar 24 (SMM) — According to China Customs data, in 2021, China exported 93,800 mt of aluminium bars and extrusions (tariff numbers 76041010, 76041090, 76042100, 76042910, 76042990) in January, down 0.35% from the previous month and up 61.1% from the prior year. Exports stood at 59,400 mt in February, down 367,200 mt month on month and up 8.99% year on year. Exports of Aluminium extrusions totalled 153,200 mt in January-February 2021, up 40,500 mt or 35.9% from 112,700 mt in January-February 2020.

From January to February 2021, China has no major exporting countries for aluminium extrusions, and the geographical distribution is relatively scattered. The top nine are South Africa, the Philippines, Nigeria, Vietnam, Australia, Mexico, Israel, Thailand and Chile. It can be seen that they are mainly concentrated in Southeast Asian countries.

From January to February 2021, China’s aluminium extrusions exports are divided according to their source regions. Among them, Guangdong Province is the main export province, accounting for 56% of China aluminium extrusion exports, followed by Shandong Province, which accounts for 16% of China aluminium extrusion exports, and third is Jiangsu Province, which accounts for 6% of China aluminium extrusion exports. Guangxi, Fujian, and Anhui have similar export levels, while the export levels of other regions are relatively low.
