With the successful recombination of Bazhou Iron and Steel and Yili Iron and Steel four blast furnaces, and the realization of the target of increasing production of 1 million tons (7.2 million tons) in the main part of Bazhou Iron and Steel Co., a 10-million-ton steel enterprise is about to emerge in the western border, north and south of Tianshan Mountain in 2021. This is a major measure for Baosteel to fully implement the group strategy and strengthen the restructuring of steel enterprises in Xinjiang, and it is also a powerful footnote for Baosteel to support China's Baowu to achieve "over 100 million tons" high-quality development.

In order to further optimize the resource allocation of the steel industry in Xinjiang, give full play to the synergy, and enhance regional competitiveness, the integration of iron and steel production capacity in Xinjiang has become a key task of Baowu, China. At the end of last year, Baosteel led the establishment of Tianshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., as a platform for the integration of iron and steel production capacity in Xinjiang to complete the integration of Bazhou Iron and Steel and Yili Xinjiang Tianshan Iron and Steel Bazhou Co., Ltd. (Bazhou Iron and Steel for short) has a design capacity of 2 million tons. According to the orientation of "one headquarters and multi-base", we will create a high-quality building materials base in southern Xinjiang with "extreme efficiency, intelligent manufacturing, extreme cost and green development". Xinjiang Yili Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (referred to as Yili Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.), formerly known as Xinjiang Yili Iron and Steel Plant, is a wholly state-owned enterprise established in April 1958, with a production capacity of 1 million tons, and will be built into a high-quality base of northern Xinjiang wire rod of eight Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. The two restructured steel enterprises have an annual production capacity of nearly 3 million tons.

It is reported that the B blast furnace of Bazhou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was ignited successfully at 21:58 on March 8. This is the re-operation of B blast furnace after more than 4 months of shutdown, which will contribute to the structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading of Bazhou Iron and Steel.

It is understood that in order to make the blast furnace ignite smoothly, Bazhou Iron and Steel Company did a lot of planning and preparation work in the early stage, repeatedly finalized the blast furnace maintenance plan, and finally identified 70 self-imposed projects and 4 external projects. According to the principle of "precise planning, fine organization and meticulous arrangement", adhering to the spirit of "not losing a day, not slack off for a day", we are equipped with excellent management team and experienced operators in construction, and scientifically organize the input of resources. actively promote the construction of the project. Make systematic arrangements for the preparation of spare parts, the assembly of maintenance teams, material replenishment and the seamless docking between various specialties, while standardizing the information reporting system, insisting on holding an inspection and repair promotion meeting at 18:00 every day, and coordinating and arranging related matters, it lays a solid foundation for the restarting of the blast furnace and replenishes the "fuel".

On February 18, the first rebar resources produced by Xinjiang Tianshan Iron and Steel Bazhou Co., Ltd. were officially put on the market.

The smooth ignition of B blast furnace indicates that Bazhou Iron and Steel Company has entered the stage of full production. At the mobilization meeting on the resumption of production start-up Day in 2021, the party committee of Bazhou Company called on all cadres and workers to stand at a new starting point, face new challenges, closely revolve around the enterprise's development strategy, find gaps in a comprehensive alignment of standards, and make every effort to sprint for the production target of 1.7 million tons.

Prior to this, after a month of maintenance, Xinjiang Yili Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. ignited the No. 1 blast furnace on February 18, and the No. 2 blast furnace was ignited smoothly at 11:58 on February 22nd, marking the official opening of the double blast furnace production mode of Xinjiang Yili Iron and Steel Co., Ltd in 2021.

The safe and smooth commissioning of the two blast furnaces has laid the foundation for Yili Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. to complete the annual production task.
