Secondary lead smelters operating rates gained 0.4 percentage point on week

Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou averaged 55.5% in the week ended March 19, up 0.4 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Mar 19 (SMM) – Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Guizhou averaged 55.5% in the week ended March 19, up 0.4 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

The average operating rates in Anhui, Henan and Guizhou remained unchanged on the week at 64.1%, 88.8% and 2.9% respectively.

The average operating rate in Jiangsu gained 2.4 percentage points week on week to 46.7% as New Chunxing basically recovered to stable production.

Except for sample smelters, Inner Mongolia Taiding is expected to suspend production for one month amid energy consumption restrictions, while Henan Xincheng Power and Hebei Shichang restored production as environmental restrictions ended.
