China produced 1.109 million tons of lead from January to February, up 27.8% from a year earlier, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.

The average monthly lead output from January to February is much lower than that in the fourth quarter of last year. According to market analysis, the outbreak of the Hebei epidemic in January disrupted logistics in the surrounding areas, affected lead smelters to a certain extent, and tightened supply. With the advent of the Spring Festival holiday, most small and medium-sized smelting enterprises entered a state of overhaul or holiday, resulting in a decline in production.
