SHANGHAI, Mar 5(SMM) — Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces fell slightly from the previous week to 57.3% in the week ended March 5, showed an SMM survey.
Smelters in Henan kept stable production. Scheduled production for March at Henan Jinli was unchanged from February. Hunan Chenzhou Xiongfeng postponed its resumption to next week, while Shuikoushan Zhihui and Jinxin cut output slightly. Yunnan Hongqian Nonferrous Metals is likely to step up production next week, while Gejiu Chuangyuan remained suspended this week and will restore production in mid-March.
