Primary aluminium inventories built up 181,000 mt on week

Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased 181,000 mt from last Thursday to 1.08 million mt as of February 25.

SHANGHAI, Feb 25 (SMM) – Primary aluminium ingot inventories in China rose this week, showed SMM data.

Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased 181,000 mt from last Thursday to 1.08 million mt as of February 25.

Stocks in Wuxi, Nanhai and Gongyi mainly contributed to the increase. Upstream primary aluminium shipment willingness and downstream recovery situation should continue to be monitored.
